Let the festivities begin!

La Toupe Royale will be on site on Saturday.

The first weekend in December will be a busy one for lovers of all things Christmassy. From 10 -4 Saturday and 10-2 Sunday the Papamoa Christmas Art Fest will be at Legacy Gardens.

The Art Fest is a fun, free, family friendly event.

At 11 am Saturday three brave 'famous in Tauranga” personalities are taking on the challenge of painting in public.

Kelvin Clout, Tauranga Deputy Mayor, Jan Tinetti, newly sworn-in list MP, and Todd Muller, MP for Bay of Plenty will be step up to their easels but they only have until midday to complete their painting.

Will they do it?

Come and see and while you're there get hands on with art for both children and adults… with card making workshops, a vision board workshop 10-11 Saturday, wax art, and painting. Or try your hand at an ancient French Parlour game, La Toupe Royale.

One of only 6 tables remaining in the world it is offered to the Art Fest for the sheer fun of playing an ancient game on a remarkable piece of vintage craftsmanship.

Come and try it out while supporting local artists' whose work will be on display, some for sale.

Morning and afternoon tea will be available at no cost.

The Art fest will be a visual and musical celebration of all that is good in human relationships, a reminder of the love that Christmas is all about. Come and celebrate with us.
