It's time to start decorating floats, cars, trucks and scooters, get the marching bands ready, and sew Christmas costumes. Pāpāmoa is planning its largest Santa Parade yet this December.

'I am so excited to bring the official Santa Parade of the city back to Pāpāmoa,” says Pāpāmoa Unlimited events and marketing manager Julia Manktelow.

The Pak ‘N Save Papamoa ‘Christmas in Candyland' Parade 2022 will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday December 18, and Julia is asking people to register their float by the end of October.

'This year is going to be its biggest and we are super proud to fly that community flag higher than ever after a couple of tough years.”

The parade will be celebrating Pāpāmoa businesses, the not-for-profit community organisations, children, music and the whole community.

Julia has a word of encouragement for businesses thinking about taking part in the parade.

'This is an awesome way to celebrate what you do, to a crowd of more than 20,000, and a way to say ‘thank you' to everyone that helped support you through restrictions,” says Julia.

'Let's make magic and light up the little faces of our beautiful city.”

Registrations are free and close October 31 or earlier if the limit is reached. You can register at: https://form.jotform.com/222790122933857
