I have again used the acai berry as this is the superfood of the century. The Armazem Bar and Resturant on Maunganui Road has supplied me with this recipe that they use as a breakfast and lunch option to their extensive menu.
Not only is it tasty, but also energy, iron, protein and antioxidant packed and it's very quick and easy to prepare.
Acai and Muesli
2 sachets of acai (guarana mix) – Mount New World are stocking these in the frozen section alongside other berries.
1 banana
1 teaspoon honey
Place in a blender until smooth, then put it in your dessert plate and serve with muesli sprinkled on top.
