You may have come across the book, The Five Languages of Love. This book points out the different primary love languages by which people feel loved; quality time, words of affirmation, receiving gifts, acts of service and physical touch. If you are someone who loves receiving gifts you may want to show your love by giving gifts. If that person is someone who feels loved when they are touched, receiving a gift may not be received in the same way it would be if they had the same love language. Wisdom comes from learning to love and serve each person according to how they perceive that love and service.
