February has gone so fast and before we know it we are heading towards the end of Bike Wise month. I hope you have all been enjoying all the fantastic events your local clubs and groups have been hosting. It has been a jam packed calendar and I hope you have found something new to enjoy.
Next weekend on March 6 at 10am we are celebrating Bike Wise month with the finale Mayoral Bike Ride at The Lakes. Join Mayor Crosby, Mayor Paterson and Simon Bridges for a short ride though the great tracks and trails and help make Tauranga the most cycle mad city. We have loads of prizes to give away so come down and check it out.
This Saturday, Bruce Galloway is leading an Ultimate Ride. The 30km ride will cover tracks and trails throughout the city, on and off road. This is a great chance to get to know the local cycleways if you have missed the Wednesday Urban loops. If you have managed to get to all the Urban Loops, challenge yourself with this longer ride. Meet in Red Square on Saturday 7.30am.
The Piko Piko Pyjama Parade will be getting underway at 7pm at the TECT All Terrain Park on Saturday evening. There will be a 2km family track suitable for families and children seven years and up make a night of it with the whole family and camp overnight. The Ngawaro Night Ride was postponed last week this will now be held this Saturday night from 8-11pm. This ride will be a combination of road, track and trail riding at night, suitable for advanced riders with your own lights. For finding our more information and registering for either of these events contact Rasmus 579 6742.
