I have added the Margrain 2008 Pinot Noir to my favourite list!
Margrain Vineyard is a boutique estate situated on the river terraces of Martinborough.

The soil is free draining with low fertility which produces small crops of intensely flavoured grapes.
The wines are handcrafted exclusively from the vines which are carefully tended. The wine is powerful and complex, displaying a velvety structure with a lovely sweet plumy fruit which is typical of top Martinborough Pinot Noir. It will cellar well through to 2016, however, I strongly recommend trying it now, with a nice steak.

The Weekend Sun has a bottle of 2008 Margrain Pinot Noir to give away to a lucky reader who can tell us where the Margrain Vineyard is located.
