There is nothing like a good bottle of red wine and a movie on a rainy afternoon and it looks as though we are in for a few, so best grab a bottle of this lovely Ash Ridge 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon today.

A hot summer and a long dry autumn in the Hawke's Bay in 2009 made for a stunning vintage. This has resulted in producing a very intensive wine with definite finesse.
The 2009 Hawke's Bay Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec Cabernet Franc is a classical blend made up of 43 per cent Merlot, 33 per cent Cabernet, 13 per cent Malbec and 11 per cent Cabernet Franc. Aromas of ripe dark red cherries, the palate deliveries full bodied richness with smooth tannins notes of cassis toast and blackcurrant. This wine is a 'real winter warmer”, good value at around $29.
