You cannot push anyone up the ladder unless they are willing to climb themselves. - Andrew Carnegie

Generally speaking, we always have other people's best interests at heart and part of this can be wanting to find solutions to help them in particular situations. Unfortunately, our solutions are not always the ones that work for someone else. The best way to help someone to help themselves might be to ask questions that help them to explore the situation, then listen in order to enable them to come up with their own solutions.

How do you feel when someone offers his or her solution for a problem you are working through?
