The Road (R16)

From Australian director John Hillcoat and adapted from Cormac McCarthy's novel (No Country For Old Men) and adding in the fact that this one stars such tasty talent as Viggo Mortensen, Guy Pearce, Robert Duvall and Charlize Theron, we expect a real armrest-gripper.

The plot concerns an unnamed man (Mortensen) and his son travelling across an ash-covered American landscape, left in tatters by an unspecified monstrous cataclysm some years before. Most of the planet's life has been destroyed, and what's left isn't very friendly. Things are going to get very, very hairy...

The Road is screening at Rialto Tauranga and The Weekend Sun has two double passes to give away to lucky readers who can name the actor who stars in The Road.
