Tropical drop for summer

With warmer weather nearly upon us, it is an excellent time to stock up on some nice bottles of Sauvignon Blanc.

The 2010 Bird Sauvignon Blanc is a lovely drop and well worth adding to your cellar.

Steve Bird from Steve Bird Winery and Vineyards Ltd says 'he is very happy with the 2010 vintage”. It won double gold in the San Francisco International Wine Show and is being served to Air New Zealand business class passengers throughout the Rugby World Cup.

Steve describes the flavour profile as tropical – having pink grapefruit and passionfruit tones, without the sometimes overbearing grassiness.

It works well with fresh mozzarella and cherry tomatoes drizzled with balsamic and works equally well with salmon. Enjoy!
