Some of our readers may remember that I wrote a post about the use of new phone technology for medical uses – www.sunlive.co.nz/11715a1.page
It seems such technology would be a boon to aid workers in Haiti. I am going to have a look for any such usage.

In the meantime I was intrigued by a story on zdnet about 39 year old Dan Woolley. While trapped following the earthquake, Dan used his iphone to see his injuries and then diagnose and treat them. He even set up a recurring alarm to ensure he did not go to sleep and into shock. I don't think his Scout leader taught him this, but it was pretty resourceful.

You can read the post on zdnet with a list of the iphone apps he used on zdnet.
