The Trinity Hill 2009 Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is described by John Hancock as a very elegant wine.
t is produced from grapes hand-harvested from two vineyards in the Gimblett Gravels, plus two further south from the cooler parts of the Hawke's Bay.
The bunches were gently whole bunch pressed and the juice then fermented and aged in a mixture of new and older French oak bariques for about 10 months.
This was a very drinkable chardonnay, very nicely balanced.
