Nothing beats a nice glass of lightly chilled Rose served as an aperitif. Mix it with a bit of sunshine and good company, serve up a plate of crustini topped with sliced slow roasted field mushrooms or pesto and tomato, sit back, relax and enjoy.
The Mt Difficulty 2011 Pinot Noir Rose from Central Otago is a lovely bone dry Rose. Quite dark in colour for a Pinot Rose as the skins were left on for five days to extract maximum flavour and colour. The result is a really nice savoury wine. It displays lovely strong red berry fruit and floral characters.
Certainly a very enjoyable drop. Rose makes such a nice change, always looks attractive on the table served in nice glassware, a great addition to the Christmas dinner table.
