Defend Yourself...from what? I hear you ask. Well, from everything really.
If you've read a Tauranga paper in the last 10 years or so you're likely to have come across Graham Clark's many Letters to the editor; he's been telling you in creative prose that the enemy of your good-selves is, um, ah, well...you! What he means is you are the problem because of your persistence in voting away your own rights to liberty, your pursuit of happiness, and your right to property. But what makes Graham really angry is your naive belief that as long as you vote away other people's rights at the same rate as yours, that you'll be ok. This is akin to standing in a bucket and trying to lift yourself off the ground, i.e., dumb as a theory, and dumber to practise.
Then there's me. You might know me (Russell Watkins) from having seen my mug adorning articles or ads warning you that if you don't elect me to local council, that said council will spend more of your money, create massive debt on your behalf, build all manner of ‘nice to haves', run rough-shod over your property rights, kow-tow to red-socialists in green clothing, and generally grow itself into a behemoth.
Well guess what...we are both right, and we both told you so!
Well here's some news for you: we are about to get noisier!
Our new blog Clark & Watkins will serve to offer you an enlightened view of what it should be like to live as an independent-thinking & free individual in a free economy.
We'll highlight infractions of your right to liberty, and those busy-bodies that wish to infract.
We'll show you what your council and its minions are up to with your money and your property rights.
We'll spell out where your money goes and to who.
We'll defend your liberty against all those that wish to take it away, whether they be private citizen or politician.
Each day we will post our view on a current event, or general freedom issue, but we'll also offer alternatives or solutions to the status/statist quo.
We'll also post on music, art, and important people that come to this nice town of ours.
You'll see at the bottom of each post a comments link, feel free to vent your spleen; it will be moderated, so do us all a favour and keep it civil please.
Oh, and don't forget to recommend our blog – it'll make you look informed and intelligent to your friends.
