We keep reminding our clients that visiting your top business customers is essential to business success. Always remember the saying:
'All things being equal people will buy from a friend. All things not being equal people will buy from a friend”.
Take the time to go and visit your customers to see if they need any work done, orders taken etc. We often see when a business owner goes out to their customers they prompt the customer to purchase something they may have been considering. It is also a good opportunity for you to remind them of all your services and products. Do not assume that they know all you have to offer.
It's important to be your customer's friend, ensure they are getting good service and are happy with the relationship with your business. This means you need to visit, and ask, to see what is going on, and find ways to do things better for your customers. And remember, as 'friends”, accept criticisms and find solutions.
And when we say visit, we mean visit, not a phone call or email. Face to face is by far the best way to do business.
Remember too – once you have been out to visit clients, you are bound to have more work, so ensure speedy turnarounds on quotes, delivery dates etc.
