Positive news always makes you feel good. It lifts your spirits and puts a spring in your step. This is exactly how I felt when reading the SunLive article 'Big economic bounce for Bay”.

The last few years have been a very tough environment in which to conduct business whilst maintaining high standards of service and commitment to staff, clients and customers. As a company we have come through very well and it is great to see that the Bay of Plenty has also shown strong positive growth in the December 2009 quarter. What is even more pleasing is that this quarterly growth figure is the largest since the March 2002 quarter.
With accommodation guest nights up 4.6 per cent compared to the nationwide figure that was in negative territory, it shows that more people are coming to this region to holiday, spend their holiday dollars and a good proportion of these people will eventually make this region their home. Just like many of us have already.
