A big thank you to all who came to the Bayleys Japan Cup Race Day at Tauranga Racecourse last Saturday. What a fantastic day. The weather was perfect, the racing exciting and the fashion in the field quite outstanding. It is the stand-out race meet on the racing calendar and once again it did not disappoint.

Sunday saw hundreds of our young people compete/participate in the annual Weet-bix Tryathlon. What a fabulous way of introducing and getting our youth into healthy physical activity. Not a laptop or cell phone in sight – just beaming smiles and happy faces.

A big welcome to everyone who is here this weekend for the annual Tauranga Jazz Festival. The line up of performers is world class and there will be something here for everyone to sit back, listen to and enjoy.
A big thank you to the organisers of this event because they do our city proud.
Events like these put Tauranga on the must-go destination map which as business people, we all benefit from.
