What a fantastic long weekend for Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. The annual Jazz Festival was once again a roaring success and I don't if it was just me, but I thought that the crowds were even bigger than other years. The weather was perfect, the music sublime and the whole atmosphere was just wonderful.

On Saturday evening at Baypark we saw the Chiefs deal a strong blow to the Highlanders in what was an exciting Super 14 match. Our Bayleys ‘Back of the Jersey' sponsored player Mike Delaney had an outstanding game and I believe played an integral role in the Chiefs win. Baypark is becoming a very good hunting ground for the Chiefs Super 14 franchise.

Another great weekend in and for the Bay.
