Hi guys after the massive hit on the legs last week I have decided to work on the other half of the body – upper body!
Monday morning.
Starting the day with a brisk warm up outside for a little bit longer than normal as the weather was so cold and I felt everybody needed to warm up properly and longer.

After the warm up we decided to start the routine and finally got everybody inside the Mt Sports Centre where we have our Monday trainings.
As it's all about upper body this week, everybody was very worried as they are thinking that their arms are going to be as sore as their legs were last week. And just before we started I drop ‘the bomb', saying it is going to hurt and possibly be worse than last week, but we must remember there is no such thing as easy work if you want to achieve great results, as for this we must work hard or be lucky! However, in terms of fitness results LUCKY does not exist.
For the Night Owl group, the session began differently where we started a new rule, they must now start warming up at least five minutes beforehand and if I walk into the room and memorise everybody and then go back in later and there are new faces that have arrived late, then there will be burpees for everybody. It's funny how human nature works. As soon as you put a bit of punishment in front of people then everything changes as those who always arrived just on time then went straight to the warm fuzzy corner, as per photo two weeks ago, now decide to warm up!
As the training starts they are only allowed to get off the machines when they hear my call – a loud whistle! By now the room and session is all set up so we go straight into stations. I used to use a lot of time explaining each exercise, but now, with the experience they have achieved in all the exercise routines, they are more productive and faster; this is yet another way to see improvements. If I have to continue to explain it, it would feel like I have hit a brick against the wall. I am so proud of all my clients for their achievements.
It was an exciting week as we all worked hard and when Saturday arrived I decided to repeat what I had done the previous week with the legs and play the same game with the arms also. When they walk into the room the first question I heard was ‘Where are the ladies' weights?' and straight away I said, 'No discrimination, you are strong – don't limit your challenge – challenge your limits.”
Once the game started I WAS REALLY PLEASED TO SEE the team players helping out their team mates, which was a great team building lesson. Whilst we are on team building, it leads us to next week's programme which is boxing week, where they all get to box and punch the team mates. As we all know LIFE Personal Fitness is not ordinary Boot Camp type training. Instead we focus all different training methods for all different fitness levels for all different people.
