Dear avid Fitness Camp followers,
As we close in on the last week of training we are a little flat and sad as we realise what an amazing experience this has been for all involved. Those who set themselves goals and strived hard to achieve them have succeeded; many people have upped their fitness levels from zero to 100 in the 10 weeks.
People have lost the weight they had wanted to, whilst others have body shape, tone and definition where they never dreamed possible. A reduction on body fat by most members was a rewarding result for both the clients and me as a trainer.
The final week of training was a mixture of the previous 10 weeks with cardio, resistance and strength work. I also added in a bit of fun this week and had various members of the group with me on stage trying to Zumba – a very amusing sight for us all! Especially with 10 men on stage attempting this!
At the end of each camp my highly organised and efficient business partner takes it upon herself to organise a thrill-seeker event where we take a team of campers to an exciting destination. Last time saw us white water rafting down the Kaituna River and this time we all went to the Whakatane Urban Assault Course for a massive team building day! Everybody had a great time and it kept them all inspired to join the next camp!
As promised last week I have a few testimonials to share from some Fitness Camp participants:
Thanks for an awesome experience! Luis and Dawn have created a brilliant programme which encourages everybody to challenge themselves and achieve way more than they thought possible. I'm so much fitter and stronger than I was at the start which I am loving, and the atmosphere is so positive. Everyone supports one another and there are plenty of jokes and funny moments to keep us smiling through the pain. Bring on the next camp with the Lemur and Giraffe show also, it just wouldn't be the same without you both!

Great team atmosphere everybody has some desires and they work hard to achieve and have fun also.

I achieved a sense of self confidence and changed my way of LIFE. I now choose to live a healthier way and take exercise whenever I can, ie park further from where I am heading to, so I must walk for longer. For me it has always been everybody else first now I take the time for me and exercise first then do dinner and housework! When we holiday now, exercise is also part of the routine!

I loved it for meeting new people and the challenges and I loved Luis' training methods, his routine of training. As I am from Ireland I feel I have found my new family. I loved my results and learnt more about body fat and how to build muscle without worrying about losing weight. We loved the Sports Day and the Thrill Seeker Events, as this just makes the programme unique to all others. We also loved Dawn's input and the crazy antics of Dawn and Luis had us all in tears!

We all worked hard and aimed to achieve our individual goals. The last week was great and when Luis pulled Dawn up on stage to Zumba all I could say was 'This is why people keep coming back” – not only do we train hard but the entertainment is outstanding from the pair of them!

As this is now the final week of camp, my blog will change over the next few weeks as I start a three week boxing camp then we are into our Next 10 week challenge starting August 23. This camp promises to be even better than the last especially as the weather improves and we can get outside again. I can't wait.
