At the moment LIFE Personal Fitness is conducting a three week boxing camp.
This intensive three weeks is based around boxing and core exercises, we limited the class to 20 realistically expecting 12-14 but had it fully booked in two days as people wanted the intensity of boxing training.

On my first session I worked on techniques, positions and stance with arms, and using a big rule in boxing - to stay strong on your base position.
We are well equipped with pads and gloves; I like to use pads and not bags like most gyms as we get the personal contact. Our trainings are divided by different levels as we learn how to punch, hold and move. We also have an equal division of men and women in these classes as they can all train together under my training. With simple combinations and movements throughout the class we improve movements and learn how to defend when the punch comes through, as well as techniques to improve the punch through hip movement.
I can see instant improvement from one session to the next although the girls are still afraid to punch too hard as they don't want to hurt the people holding the pads, so I remind them that the impact is minimal as we are taught to take the tension when holding pads also and it's a more real feeling than a punching bag.
It is the art of combat to train your body to get in shape whatever you want, anyone can learn how to box, but not everybody will as boxing is by far the most physically intensive training on the planet. But don't let that scare you as it is well suited to all abilities as it covers all aspects of physical development from strength to coordination and everything in-between.
Box training will get you in great LIFE training but requires effort and then everything will fall into place. It doesn't require lots of money or special equipment or knowledge and I am convinced that you can all learn how to box if you want in only three weeks. You may also find a LIFE long interest in this sport that will show LIFE changes physically and mentally.
