Hi I am about to tell you a nice and intrepid story. You may find yourself in this position at some time in your life, but not just because it is a story means it's a fairytale.
Once upon a time I was training my clients on the fitness camp and Mr Gavin McCormick – Regional Manager National Bank came up with a great team building initiative to run a Fitness Camp for all of his regional branch managers involving 11 people.

On the first contact I thought that was a great idea but will take a little longer to start. A week later Mr McCormick came back to us and wanted to start the very next week. So we then set up for the six week National Bank Challenge.
This story is not just about training but about LIFE style changes from people who used to order sausage rolls for Breakfast, Burger King for lunch and socialising with alcohol for dinner. It took a massive changeover which involved porridge and fruit for breakfast, sushi or salad for lunch and a casual dinner, however, the wine is still around at times.
So along the six weeks I am proud to say that 100 per cent of this corporate group put all their effort in to this challenge that meant taking time away from families, changing old habits and the best thing getting involved with the sports events as a team building exercise also and the next challenge is the City to Surf – 26 September at the Mount. This is a big surprise when this group decided to get involved in this event as before they would have been hanging out for after work drinks and dinner.
The six weeks were a huge success and every story must have a happy ending and in this story the happy ending couldn't have been better as we had a trip to our dear friends Scott and John at Adventure Solutions Whakatane. They have been amazingly supportive at assisting us to set up and run LIFE Personal Fitness Thrill Seeker Day and Events.
When the day started we had a beautiful sunny day and at the moment that we arrived we could see that it had been raining all week and looked stunning, but not for the suited-up office workers who were used to a clean office and clothes. Like I say though, this is not a fairytale anymore! After the briefing everybody looked a tad despondent and the thought was, ‘what on earth am I doing here!' Once we started on the Urban Assault Course we went through some situations when they all needed to trust each other to the point where they felt like their life was in another person's hands and if concentration is lacking they could fall and get a serious injury if not careful.
Along the course after they went up, around, under and above the obstacles they all looked stunning as mud was caked all over and the great feeling that they have just achieved something they had never dreamed of. Some people broke some barriers and crossed some obstacles off their LIFE that was really impressive to see the team unity and bond to not let the other person down as some of these people have never been in this situation before and I am so proud to have had this group with me on this day. Check out next week's blog which will be all about the first time on the August 23 Fitness Camp as we have the next 10 weeks reporting about all the emotions, feelings and new LIFE experiences for most of these people – you can't afford to miss out on this.
