Five weeks ago 70 people from Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty decided to participate in one of the biggest challenges in the area. We see every week they have many different challenges and for me the most important challenge is to try and change their lifestyle. As we all know, every challenge has obstacles because without obstacles it would not be a challenge.

On a fitness challenge the biggest obstacle is to beat our own time. On the physical challenge ‘lose weight, lose fat tone up etc' – the biggest challenge is consistency.

In any challenge we attempt, we will have moments that we ‘hit the wall ‘and that's the point when 85 per cent of the population give-up! The word ‘give-up' is so strong, as when it hits you that nothing else really matters, you have already lost. So for any challenge you have, we will never give-up. As on the process of LIFE Fitness Camp, we try to get everybody connected with the challenge. We offer all the tools to change; we send people in the right direction so they can finish as a champion and the reward in this case is to look at yourself in the mirror and be happy with what you see, and if at this stage you still have not achieved your goal then your determination and perseverance should be even stronger. As we must remember, our first challenge was our race out of the birth canal, and if you are reading this blog then you have won the first challenge. So there is no reason for you to quit your challenge now, this is not going to be the first or last challenge in our lives, but I can guarantee that if you quit now, you will still have to come back and do it again.
