A perfectly harmonious chardonnay

An outstanding growing season combined with low-yielding vines produced exceptional quality grapes, resulting in Mills Reef producing a rich, full and creamy 2009 Reserve Chardonnay.

The wine exudes lovely peach, citrus and passionfruit flavours. It is all about balance and the fruit oak and alcohol are all in perfect harmony. Flavours are complemented with integrated buttery vanilla oak, with finely balanced acidity. The palate is full-bodied, with a lingering long and harmonious finish. Pour a glass or two now, or if you pop one away for a few years, it will mature gracefully.

Congratulations to winemakers Tim Preston and Paul Dawick on winning a well deserved Silver medal for the 2009 Reserve Chardonnay recently at the New Zealand International Wine Show. Enjoy!

The Weekend Sun has a bottle of 2009 Mills Reef Reserve Chardonnay to give away to lucky readers who can tell us what kind of medal the wine won at the NZ International Wine Showcovers.
