Aurum Pinot Noir is a very concentrated young wine with intense
blackcurrant, boysenberry and plum fruit flavours.
Tony Lawrence from Aurum winery, a boutique family wine estate in Central Otago is excited about the 2009 Aurum Pinot Noir, and rightly so.

Let's face it, we know Central Otago has a reputation for producing superb Pinot Noir and this wine certainly hits the jackpot.
”It was a difficult season with low cropping,” says Tony.
However he describes the resulting wine as ‘the best ever'.
It has a concentrated sweet berry fruit nose with integrated oak. The palate is very spicy with intense blackcurrant and boysenberry flavours, with velvety fine tannins and a long, generous finish.
Karo at Gambino's on Grey Street has one all ready for you. Enjoy.
