If your lifejackets are old, worn-out, ill-fitting or just not up to scratch, the Old4New Lifejacket Upgrade Campaign is back and coming to three Bay of Plenty locations early next month.
Old4New is one of the Coastguard’s hero water safety initiatives, allowing people to trade in old, damaged or ill-fitting lifejackets for new, fit-for-purpose, discounted Hutchwilco lifejackets.
The Old4New Lifejacket van will be at the Bowentown Boating & Fishing Club on Pio Rd at Waihī Beach from 9am-3pm on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Then it will be parked at Sulphur Point Boat Ramp in Tauranga the next day, Saturday, January 4, from 9am-4pm. The van will be at the Coastgaurd’s Ōpōtiki building at 1 Wharf St on January 5 from 9am-3pm.
