Six elite fitness athletes from Tauranga are headed to Chicago to represent New Zealand at the Hyrox World Championships from June 12-15.

Harry Hall, Chas Clark, Chanée King, Megan Hattingh, Kelvin Clark and Aidan Lett will compete as three two-person teams.

The group train at TheLab Athletic Club in Tauranga City, which is dedicated to Hyrox – an international indoor fitness race, combining endurance running and functional training.

Harry Hall and Chas Clark will race in the Pro Doubles 30-39 category, Aidan Lett and Kelvin Clark in the Pro Doubles 50-59, and Megan Hattingh with Chanée King in the Open Doubles 30-39.

Hall will also be participating in the Team NZ relay, and Chas Clark will compete in the mixed doubles.

The teams qualified after an impressive showing at the Auckland Hyrox, placing them in the top 1% globally. Now, they’re seeking support to help cover the high costs of travel and competition.
