Tauranga locals can sit back and enjoy a family classic on Mt Drury this weekend – as part of World Vision's Bit by Bit Week, Night Owl Cinema is screening 'ET'.
Kim Cleland from Night Owl Cinema says she was keen to be involved with the World Vision Bit by Bit Week because she believes they're doing important work.
"We are a community event and believe the work achieved by World Vision is important for a fair and just society globally. We aim to support local community initiatives through our events so the collaboration was a perfect fit.”
Kim says it's also great to be part of providing a really great family event.
"Outdoor films at Mt Drury are a great way to enjoy our beautiful outdoors in Tauranga and share in an evening of fun for the whole family.”
Pre-show entertainment will include games and live music. Come along and pack a picnic, otherwise food trucks from Little Big Markets/Dinner in the Domain will be there selling some tasty dinner options.
The film will screen from dark – about 8.30pm. Running time is 2 hours, 10 mins.
Kim also says people should remember to dress warmly and bring a blanket so they can get comfortable.
The event has been sponsored by TCC, Envirowaste, Creative Communities, Kale Print, Indulge and MoreFM.
