It certainly has us inspired to take tourism in the Bay to the next level.

Here in the coastal Bay of Plenty, tourism is already worth more than $1 billion a year – and we're working to grow this to $1.45 billion and create a further 4000 new jobs within the next decade.

As a Destination Management Organisation, we will be working hard to coordinate all the elements that make up the region, including attractions, amenities and access, while creating sustainable growth of the tourism sector for the benefit of our local community.

This will ensure growth that is sustainable both financially and environmentally, so that everyone can enjoy the economic benefits that tourism brings, such as new jobs and a more even spread of visitors throughout the year.
