A strong economy matters and our country – and the Bay of Plenty – should be booming, yet 63 per cent of business leaders think the Government is managing the economy poorly.
Recently National launched our Discussion Document on the Economic Sector. So far the feedback has been excellent with hundreds of responses received.
Our Economic Discussion Document sets out 50 commitments or proposals that National want to take to the election as well as more than 30 questions we want feedback on so we can get New Zealand back on track.
We recognise that Government does not drive the economy, it is a team effort. It is driven by all the people who get up early, work hard, invest their time and their money to build opportunities for themselves and others.
To establish a wealthy economy we must tackle wasteful spending, something this Government is relentless on as they continue to dip into your back pocket whenever they need a little extra cash.
We want New Zealand to benefit from a strong economy which delivers higher living standards, higher incomes and greater choice and opportunities for New Zealanders and their families.
If we want a world-class health system, better education for our kids and the modern infrastructure network that our region desperately needs we need a strongly growing economy.
We want to hear what you have to say and provide new ideas on how we can turn around our slowing economy, restore business confidence, and grow the incomes of New Zealanders. Have your say by going to www.national.org.nz/economy
