Do you feel like you have a bulging wardrobe, but nothing to wear? It's a new season and time for that well needed "Spring Clean" of your wardrobe.

Each season I like to take the following 3 steps to create a fresh, new wardrobe. Mixing my most loved pieces with some fabulous new styles.

Step 1- Decide and Discard

Go through your wardrobe piece by piece and create 3 piles. A yes, no and maybe pile. All garments that you still love and wear put straight into your yes pile. All garments that are looking tired and past it or those "bad buys" go straight into that no pile. Everything else that you have left, you are obviously unsure of, take the time to go through each piece and ask yourself the following questions:

Is this an heirloom piece? (Worth keeping)

Does this fit me properly & is it flattering?

Can I see myself wearing this again?

Always sit on your pile of no's for a day or so before you discard these items and remember designer pieces are hot items to sell online so do look to sell these to create a new budget for those pieces you need for the coming season.

Step 2- Bones of your Wardrobe

Now you have a collection that make up the bones of your wardrobe, so it's time to fill the gaps with those staple items that make every outfit work. Remember any original staples that you discard in your no pile will need replacing and you should always make this your priority. Every woman needs the following pieces to create the bones of any good wardrobe during summer:

Step 3- Statement Pieces

Once you have nailed the basics it's time to look for those key statement pieces that bring the fashion into your wardrobe. This means your coloured pant, Bright coloured tops and injecting bold prints to all styles in your wardrobe. If you are on a tight budget the best way to add a bit of excitement to your staples is with your accessories.

Think bright belts, Antiqued Jewells & bold floral scarfs.

If you follow these steps you are guaranteed to step out into Summer feeling rejuvenated and ready to show off your gorgeous new wardrobe!
