Jane Nees BOP Regional Councillor www.janenees.co.nz |
I sometimes get contacted by people who have read my articles in the Weekend Sun and have questions about what I am saying. This generally happens because the end of my article has been cut off – either because of lack of space in the paper or because I have been over-enthusiastic about my subject and my article is a bit long.
A case in point was my article two weeks ago, about the need for an integrated picture of what reserve and recreational land is available across the Bay – where it is, who owns it, and what it is for. The loss of the last couple of paragraphs meant the sense of what I was trying to say was obscure. Sorry about this.
I feel I am privileged to be given the opportunity by the Weekend Sun to inform you all about what is happening in the Bay and to share my views. All my articles are reproduced in full on the SunLive website under Blogs and Opinions, so if you ever suspect my article is missing something, you are probably right and the rest of it is on the website.
Also, I do post my articles on my website www.janenees.co.nz – but sometimes pressure of work means there is a time lag before I get to post them. I will try to put them up straight away in future. Or you can always contact me at neesj@xtra.co.nz or on 07 579-5150.
