If you have eaten at Gengy's Mongolian B.B.Q Buffet in other cities, you will be pleased to know it is now open in Tauranga at 159 Durham Street with plenty of parking right outside the door, now serving up flaming good food!

Gengys' unique dining experience allows you to choose your own ingredients and create your own very individual dining experience, as hot and spicy as you like, without having to worry about the other family members' likes and dislikes, it is all just about your tastes. Choose from a huge selection of fresh meats, seafood and a variety of seasonal vegetables, sauces and spices. Your meal is then cooked, barbecue-style fresh and hot, before your very eyes! Add fried rice or noodles or not, enjoy, then go back for more, and play around with other combinations.

I liked being able to start off with a seafood dish and then move on through to the chicken, then the lamb, changing my oils and spices to suit my dishes; perfect! It's like cooking at home, without the cooking, but with a much bigger selection of ingredients and the chance to experiment knowing that it was only me that I had to keep happy.

This style of eating is appealing to all ages, which was really evident from the diverse ages dining the night we were there, from grandparents to toddlers. It also works well for anyone looking for a gluten-free dining option, as you have control over your whole eating process. Even the oils and sauces listed the ingredients.

Starters include fresh bread rolls and butter, your choice from the salad bar and two freshly home-made soups. A delicious pancakes and ice cream dessert (if you have room), will top off your meal nicely.

Freshness is the emphasis at Gengy's, all ingredients are tops in freshness and quality.

You'll find Gengys' prices very reasonable and great value for money. There is currently an opening special of all you can eat for $21.95 for a limited time only, with children dining for only $3 plus $1 for every year up to 12 years old.

That's right, you can eat as much of the delicious Mongolian food as you like in attractive surroundings.

It's the ideal venue for groups, large or small and if someone is having a birthday they get their meal for just $1 when accompanied by three full paying adults ($28.95, conditions apply).
