It is also convenient, enjoyable, safe and healthy.


Get walking this March.

Start enjoying all the sights, sounds and fresh air walking brings and your fitness will take care of itself.

Walking is ideal for people who have been inactive or prefer less vigorous activity. It offers multiple health benefits and is relatively easy on muscles and joints, carrying a low risk of injury.

March is Play in the Bay's Walk Month – the month is full of walking activities and events to help get you out and active.

The calendar has a range of activities including: weekly walking groups, full day hikes, Nordic walking, glow worm walks, historical walks, walks for under 5's and much more.

Complete four of the listed walks during the month, fill in the answers linked with the walks you have done and go in the draw to win one of two $200 vouchers from Smiths Sports Shoes, Tauranga. Return your completed passport to the Sport Bay of Plenty office by April 5.
