This week I'd like to draw attention to a very important event on the annual calendar that's now in its sixth year running, appropriately called ‘The Pink Walk' which dedicates 100 per cent of funds raised to Tauranga's Breast Cancer Support Service.

Starting down on The Strand at 6pm on Wednesday, October 16, residents are encouraged to complete a 2.8km walk around downtown Tauranga – dressed in your hot pink get-up of course – and for a mere $5 entry fee through House of Travel or Smiths Sports Shoes, you will help to support this very worthy cause.
Unfortunately, there won't be many families, friends, or associates who this dreaded ‘speed-bump' hasn't touched and to have support or information available as we go through this experience is immensely
invaluable.
We'll be offering ‘The Pink Flamingo Cocktail', a rich blend of strawberries, Chambord, ginger and Chocolate Absolut with juice or cream, that we've created for this special event, where all purchases of this cocktail will be donated again to the breast cancer awareness charity.
