The silly season’s wardrobe malfunctions

Wendy the dog trainer would have kittens if she knew the amount of dog humanising that went on in our household.

The summer silly season has been particularly crazy, with the dogs of the residence being expected to dress up and play silly buggers for all manner of events – and to entertain all sorts of characters.

It started with the role of Christmas fairy, and while I didn't mind the tinsel and the tutu, I drew the line when someone mentioned the positioning of the pole to stick me up the Christmas tree.

Then there was a selection of swimwear, some of it doggy attire in the form of useful things, such as canine lifejackets, but it all got a bit freaky when some wag decided to set me up with DOGCAM harness.

One swift exit under the gate soon wiped out any idea of that plan working.
Then came the array of sunglasses, hats and other assorted accessories which humans, for some reason, find continually amusing to make their animals wear.

Do we look like circus animals?

This photo was taken while I was dog tired, so I really had just given up caring.
Oh well, at least I was being sun smart.

Hope you all had a great break, keeping safe and sound, and welcome back to another year of fun in the Sun.

Send us your holiday snaps, whether well-dressed or otherwise, and we'll dish out the prizes again. corrie@thesun.co.nz
