Well we have roared into the New Year and before we know it we are into February.

It is a timely reminder to all business people that life and business are moving at fast pace .

Technology has taken over our lives and dominating how we buy, sell and think.

Despite online sales soaring there is and always will be a place for people dealing with people.

'Customer service is not a department it is an attitude” is a saying a heard a long time ago and still rings true.

I was discussing how best to appoint new staff with a very successful business person last week. His business is involved in a large number of high end retail stores.

They have a saying when looking for staff 'if they don't bubble they are trouble".

A simple philosophy really.

So how does your business and staff measure up? Do they bubble or are they trouble ?

Starbucks have a great saying: 'we are not in the coffee business serving people. We are in the people business serving coffee.”

This applies not only to retail stores but all businesses.

If you want to succeed in business then enjoy people.
