On April 6, Mosaic released their new album ‘You Surround' and by the end of the day it was Number 1 on NZ iTunes chart.

Recorded at Revolver Studios in Auckland, ‘You Surround' is a compilation of original songs written by three of the band – Josh Turner, Si Hayward and Kelly Hayward.

Mosaic is a local church, based in Mount Maunganui, Matamata, Whakatane and Te Puke.

The creative music community within this comprises about 40 musicians and singers, and the band for the album is made up of Si Hayward (vocals/guitar), Kelly Hayward (keys), Josh Turner (vocals/guitar), Jared Harper (bass), Logan Skerrett (drums), Linden Cunninghame (guitar), Alice Cunninghame (vocals), Hannah Wanhill (vocals), Georgia Lines (vocals), and Kelly MacNamara (lead guitar).

As a worship album, ‘You Surround' encapsulates the journey of this Mosaic church during the last couple of years.

The songs are fresh and inspiring, with a soundscape of lyrics and melody that are a response of faith and commitment to God, encouraging listeners to connect with a God of grace who always surrounds them.

'We feel strongly that New Zealand has its own songs to sing, and that we are a part of this picture,” says Josh.

They hope the songs will become anchors to help people hold onto their faith when times are dark, difficult and confusing.
