We are a passionate bunch here in Papamoa – passionate about our community, passionate about what we want in a shopping centre, and passionate about meeting our potential.

If engagement is measured by responses to voting then we are certainly leading the charge.

Voter turnout in Papamoa has always been well above national averages – whether this voting for a shopping centre name, a local councillor or more recently voting for our representative in Parliament.

Engagement is also measured in the numbers of interest groups that exist – from Papamoa Progressive Association with its proud 100 year history, through to the Papamoa Support Centre, Community Patrols, Rotary, Lions, church and fellowship groups and the many support groups – all passionate about adding value and sharing time and resources.

We are truly a well-served community – served by the locals.

Any community that can self-manage, self-fund and self-co-ordinate is destined for greatness – all the ingredients are there.

We are doing it.

The people are speaking and acting – channelling their 'powers” for good and just doing it.
