Elected members have completed deliberations on submissions made to the Long Term Plan.
It's become clear we need to have a framework in place to assist in making decisions when it comes to funding requests from different sporting codes.
Many different clubs and organisations request funding from council and in the past decisions have been made on an 'ad hoc” basis.
The outcome of the tropical flower house debate was a Reserve Management Plan will be developed for the Cliff Rd area.
The tropical flower house will remain in the meantime. Consultation with the community will be part of this process.
Many people, including elected members, were surprised to learn council does not own the flowers and plants in the tropical flower house.
Other decisions included topics on a splash water play fountain for dogs at Yatton Park, stormwater, cycling trails, The Elms and transportation.

The LTP is expected to be adopted at the council meeting on June 23, and it will be reviewed every three years.
Still on the radar are discussions and decisions regarding council's campus buildings.
