Oh what a weekend (plus two days)

Well I for one cannot wait until next Easter, and it was not just the thrill of hunting out the Easter eggs, but all the fun that was had down at No.1 The Strand.

The sights were getting a little ribald by Good Friday, so we had to send my little impressionable sister away for the weekend so as not to taint her up-bringing with a crash course on two-legger antics.
The fun started in earnest on Thursday night with a laid back session of music.
Graham Clark and Brilleaux rocked the house on Friday night and man it was good to see a few people shakin' their booties (and a few other bits and pieces besides).
I thought I was too old to get down and boogie. NAH! Once a rocker, always a rocker and the boss man has taught me well.
On Saturday the Blues was back. A special thanks to Grant Haua, John Michaelz, and Derrin Richards who were 'choice!”
Saturday night the sharp sight of Kokomo Blues strutting their stuff almost brought a tear to an old dog's eye; they are still as great as ever.
Then along came Sunday with Shaken Not Stirred. Now these windy city boys and girls can certainly walk the walk, and I thought all those capital dwellers were only full of wind (great for the trumpet blower I suppose) but they put that myth to bed, along with me, late that night. I think it was Tuesday before I could walk properly again, and not from too long in the saddle, but from all the four paw shuffles I had to do on the dance floor thanks to all the music makers involved. Yee-haw!
Everything is now back to a semblance of normality. The little sis is back on deck, and the two of us are ripping the clothes and footwear of the boss' apprentice to shreds, all in the name of fun. Not quite what he said though, as he dragged little Ady off another shredded item of footwear. All I was doing was lying in the corner watching.
Now on to Johnny, my old mate, who I know was ripping a few things to shreds over the weekend, namely the kart track in Hamilton.
He is back in store now though and putting all that great meat out on display. Not his own I hope, as I saw enough of that down here on the Strand. You can get arrested for that sort of thing!
Anyway, moving right along, Johnny has some great specials in store this week as usual, so get in and see his meat!

Well that's it from me for another week folks, but I would just like to pass on a very big thanks to Daz and Paulie in the kitchen, Mike behind the bar, and Kristy, Kym, and all the girls out front who made your Easter down here a fun time. I certainly had a good time, now bring on the next one!
