Recently, as part of BOP Film, I helped organise the Give Back screening of Disney's Pete's Dragon, where all those in the Bay of Plenty region who were involved in making the movie could come see it, ahead of the public screening which starts soon in September.

First though, a visit to the Rotorua animation school where the film's location manager Clayton Tikao was sharing with the animators how an artist's work helps set the direction for hunting down film locations.

After that it was around to the local theatre to make sure the red carpet was in place, the truck used by Robert Redford was positioned outside, and the newspapers and TV people there were being connected with the right people for their stories.
I got to chat with Barry Caulfield who supplied the truck that Robert Redford drove.
